are you a mover, a nomad ? do you love travelling and seeing new places and walking new streets ?
then this post is for you.

did you know me and david are huge movie nerds ? we love watching films, and we usually see about 5-10 films each weeks. it’s our way to unwind, learn new things, get inspired.

so why not share some of our favourites with you ?
here are three films we absolutely love on the theme of walking / travelling / moving.
both about how vulnerable we are when exposed to nature, and about the possibility of healing by moving.

the way back (2010)
a group of prisoners escape a siberian gulag and walks forever to get to safety in india. don’t let that fool you though, this film is both thrilling and beautiful. it has really stayed with me for some reason that i can’t quite put my finger on.

wild (2014)
reese witherspoon shows just how forceful and honest of an actress she can be. this is an incredibly important film in my view, so strong in its simplicity. witherspoon plays an addict who decides to walk the pacific crest trail. based on cheryl strayed’s memoirs.

the way (2010)
the most delightful and heart-warming film, about a father (martin sheen) walking the el camino de santiago in remembrance of his son. this is one of those films that leaves you completely happy to be alive, with just a little touch of sadness at the same time. everyone should watch this movie !

do you have any wanderlust movie tips for me and david ?
let me know in the comments.

love // jenny
