RECIPE : rice à la jenny

try this or die unhappy ^^coconut flavoured rice pudding with chai, pink grapefruit and pomegranate oh yum !https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9KiPu9ZnP0wrice à la jenny full recipe:2 dl short grain rice (i use a rice called porridge rice in sweden, but i'm sure normal risotto rice or even sushi rice would do fine !)4 dl water1 can of coconut milk (4 dl)2 dl oat milk (or other plant milk)1 tbsp agave syrup3 pink grapefruits1 pomegranatechai spice mix (see recipe video) or cinnamoninstructions:- heat the rice and water, and let simmer under lid on low/medium heat for about 10 minutes. most of the water should be absorbed- add coconut milk, oat milk, and agave syrup whilst gently stirring- let it simmer for 30-35 minutes on low heat, without stirring. it’s done when the rice feels soft, but don’t worry if there’s some liquid left. it will thicken when cooled- let cool completely- cut the pink grapefruits in 1-2 cm thick slices, then remove the peel. use blood oranges instead for a sweeter taste- cut the slices in half, and then half again until every slice has been cut into as many pieces as there are wedges- cut the pomegranate in half and put both halves in a bowl of water- scoop out the seeds under water and drain- put a layer of the cooled-off rice in a serving glass. you can cut off the corner of a plastic bag for mess-free layering- powder rice-layer with chai spice mix or cinnamon- cover the rice layer with a slice of pink grapefruit- make another layer of rice, chai mix, and grapefruit- garnish with pomegranate seeds and chai mix- die happy ! risalajenny1 risalajenny2risalajennytextcopyoutfit - MIND THE MUSTARDmusic in video - "little tomcat" by josh woodward.free download: http://joshwoodward.com/song/LittleTomcat
