RECIPE : iced hibiscus tea
summer is coming, and being the tea lover that i am – i love thinking of iced version of my favourite teas. i’ve made a video for delicious cold steeped green iced tea earlier, and my newest obsession is … iced hibiscus tea !
i mean, just look at that colour.
hibiscus tea is also one of the healthiest things you can drink. actually it seems like it has more antioxidants than any other drink out there. if you want to know more about the nutrition in hibiscus tea, check out these videos from nutritionfacts.org.
and i don’t know if you’ve noticed but i’ve started uploading new videos twice a week now – so feel free to subscribe to my youtube channel if you don’t want to miss out ^^
iced hibiscus tea :
1 serving
1 tsp / 1 teabag hibiscus tea
200 ml / 0.8 cups boiling water
1 date (or more if you like the tea sweeter)
1 slice of lime or lemon
ice cubes
cold water
– steep the tea in the just boiled water for five minutes, with the date. then remove the teabag / loose hibiscus tea
– add a handful of ice cubes, and the lime / lemon. fill up with ice cold water and keep in fridge or freezer until completely cooled
– add more ice cubes, give it a good stir and get refreshed !
