RECIPE : red pizza salad

it’s friday and the two weeks of cookbook video fun is almost over – only 2 episodes left of my new vegan cookbook video extravaganza !

in this video i’m making a classic dish here in sweden ( perhaps in other places too ? ). we love our pizzerias in sweden, and everytime you buy pizza you get a side dish we call pizza salad. it’s so yummy and super easy to make at home. hope you like it !

red pizza salad
serves 4
about 500 ml / 2 cups purple cabbage, shredded
1/2 red onion, sliced
about 1/4 red chilli, chopped
2 tbsp rice vinegar
black pepper
salt

– mix cabbage, onion, and chilli, with vinegar, pepper and a large pinch of salt in a bowl and massage for a few minutes
– let sit in the fridge for at least one hour to soften up
– serve with pizza or as a zesty side dish to just about any other food

is pizza salad common in pizzerias in your country ?
