MINIMALIST FASHION ESSENTIAL #1 | yt-shirt collab

today, i’ve teamed up with simple and beautiful brand yt-shirt to talk about my number 1 minimalist fashion essential – the white tee.
always on style, never boring, so wearable, and one of the sexiest items you can put on your body. my obsession with the white t-shirt will probably never fade.

why is our love affair with the white tee such a never-ending story ? what makes us come back for it time and time again ?
i think it makes perfect sense – it’s hard to find an item more simple and practical, at the same time as being visually strong and calming. it can be both casual, professional and dressed up. it fits all shapes, sizes, and aesthetic preferences. no matter the style of the rest of your wardrobe – the white t-shirt will play nicely with your other items.

don’t get me wrong though, there are huge differences between white tees and white tees. when wearing something so basic and simple, i find it even more important to go for good quality. the fit should be just right, and the material should fall beautifully off your body. up the lux level to balance out the simpleness of the design.

this is what i love about yt-shirt. just by looking at their t-shirts, you will want to reach out and touch the super soft material. their shirts are made from high quality japanese cotton, produced in their factory in japan. the brand ( pronounced white shirt ) is all about refinement, simplicity and sensitivity. and you’ve gotta love the minimal design of their site !

so how to style this classic wardrobe staple ?
my fav way to wear it is in this oversized boyfriend shape. with nothing but strong lips, no bra, and simple loose-fit trousers. there’s something fashion magical about the way this look might very well be the simplest outfit out there, at the same time as being so brilliantly sensual and strong. i never feel wrong in this outfit, no matter the occasion.
i got two of the yt-shirt designs – the unisex model, and the slim fit rolled sleeves. for this look, the unisex is perfect. plus, david is super happy to share it with me of course.

wearing the slim fit model, i’ll tuck it into something high-waisted this summer. to wear on boardwalks, decks, and boats all summer. with my hands in my pockets and sunnies or a cap to keep the sun out of my eyes. statement jewellery is also so nicely paired with a white tee, the simplicity of the design letting the bling stand out without feeling like it’s taking over the look. besides, white on a summer tan – is there anything nicer ?
i mean. if you’re one of those people who gets a tan, that is. there are of course other people out there too. who only gets bright pink, burnt, and sore in the summer. but hey, white always looks good, even on us pale folks !
