WORKING OUT : my daily workout routine | how & why i exercise

my simple workout routine – 30 minute strengthening and relaxing exercises before lunch, and a 60 minute power walk after work.
most days i follow this routine. walking is easily worked into my schedule every day, and the 30 minute mid-morning workout i do usually four times per week, depending on my calendar.

this video is about my view on working out – why i do it, how and when i do it, the results, and how it makes me feel. check it out !

it might seem like a lot of time put on working out each day, but it doesn’t feel like it. our one hour walk is an excuse for us to just hang out and talk about our day, plus get time to run some errands if need be. the 30 minute pilates session goes so quickly, i’m always surprised when it’s done.

i don’t exercise to be pretty, skinny, fit, or buff. i exercise because when i don’t, my body crashes from spending too much time in front of a screen each day. it’s purely to function physically. plus, it relaxes me which is a bonus of course. losing weight or gaining weight – i don’t care. i want to be strong, healthy, have good posture, and feel at home in my body.

Your approach towards exercise is so chill and refreshing…I find it very inspiring :) Wondering if you do the same sequence of exercises during the 30 mins each day, or so you switch it up? Also, do you follow a video or just freestyle it at this point? Would love a recommendation to some specific YouTube videos you use as guidance, or even better if you would consider posting a video of your workout itself so we can follow along with you!!   3. Thanks for this video. As I work in front of a screen all day have the exact same problem than you, pain in the neck and the back. I started to follow your old pilate video and it really helps. It’s gentle and just enough to maintain my body away from the pain. As you mention you are going new exercise now so I was wondering if you could do an update of your old pilate video. Really like you blog it’s very inspiring. Best

  4. i think your attitude towards your body is honestly so so good and it’s helping me so much to watch your videos and get the idea of what your intention is. i’ve been struggeling much with food, exercise and the attitude towards myself and your way of thinking is really refreshing and outstanding compared to the mass of fitness-/ clean-eating-/ diet-blogger or youtuber. it’s like you truly care for your body instead of focusing just on your appearance. thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and attitude.
    by the way, i have some ideas for videos to make but these are just ideas: mindful eating; loving yourself + how to get away from being bad to your body like counting calories, restricting, feeling worthless etc. i would be happy to get more information + your oppinion on these topics though c:

    I battle with medical problems that effects every joint in my body ,as you can imagine I have trouble finding workouts that feel good. This one does, thank you. It is also delightful to find a video with little talking and soft music. Love your content!

  9. great, very efficient in burning fat, the most functional exercise can also be done at home, the only equipment needed is your own body. So even if you have a little time, you can easily sneak in a quick workout routine from wherever you are!
