INTERIOR : temporary DIY bedside lamp

the bedside lamps that were already in the flat when we moved in were too big and dark and bulky for us, so we took them down after a few days. we needed something else temporarily until we would find new lamps.
the only thing we had were these fairy lights that we bought for christmas. so i just folded the cord and stuck them down two old glass chilli sauce bottles.

before we moved in we said to each other to be careful with temporary solutions, because they tend to stick and become permanent quite easily. out of laziness. out of not feeling bothered. so there i stood in the kitchen with one hand down a chilli sauce bottle thinking : am i ok with these becoming a permanent feature in my home ?

the answer was yes. and i’m so pleased with them. they’re unusual, fun, simple, and give off just the right amount of light for reading.
