i hope you’ve liked watching as much as i’ve enjoyed making them !

for the final episode, i’m making deliciously kawaii sushi rice snowballs, filled with a fig and apple chutney.
all while looking extra special festive just for you of course lol

psssst !
i might make a little new years special just for the heck of it.
tune in next sunday to find out.

christmas treat : snowballs full recipe
(about 3-4 snowballs)
1 dl suchi rice (or other short grained rice)
1.5 dl plant milk (i used oat)
2 tsp agave syrup
1/2 red apple, diced
4 figs, diced
1 cm ginger, grated
pinch of nutmeg
1/2 tsp cinnamon
pinch of chilli
2 tbsp water
1/2 dl almonds

– pour milk and rice in a pot and bring to a boil. lower heat and let simmer for 20 mins
– remove from heat and let steam for another 10 mins or so. let cool off
– add the remaining ingredients, except for the almonds, to a pan and heat on medium heat for about 10 mins, until the apple and figs start braking apart and become a mushy chutney
– chop the almonds
-when the rice has cooled, roll a ball with some of it. flatten it slightly, and add some fig chutney. make another flat half of the rice, and put on top of the chutney. roll it a bit in the palm of your hands, and you got yourself a cute little snowball !
– repeat with the rest of the rice, and roll all your snowballs in the chopped almonds
– last but not least, have yourself a merry little christmas, or whatever holiday you’ll be celebrating !

  1. Great recipe, however I don’t like figs. Have you got any proposition for something that can substitute figs?
